Doug Crandell (dcrandell@cobbcsb.com) is employed at the Cobb and Douglas Counties Community Services Boards. He currently directs Project Exceed, a Customized Employment Grant funded by the U.S. Department of Labor, Office of Disability Employment Policy, which focuses on self-employment as an outcome. Doug has worked extensively with the Georgia Department of Rehabilitation on developing new strategies to improve self-employment services, both within the One-Stop WIA sites and the Georgia Career Centers. Doug has forged relationships with SCORE, and the Micro-enterprise systems to collaborate with VR, provider agencies and the Workforce Investment system to allow generic entities to learn how to support people with disabilities pursuing self-employment.
Additionally, he directs a Work Incentives Grant funded by U.S. Department of Labor, Employment and Training Administration. He has presented extensively on system change and best practice. Doug has co-authored chapters in an upcoming book on Customized Employment, edited by Dr. Paul Wehman.
