Suzanne has founded multiple businesses during her life, prior to her disability and after the onset of her disability. After acquiring a severe disability later in her life and entering the roles of SSA and Medicaid for support, Suzanne chose self-employment and business ownership as a natural fit for her multiple masters degrees, experiences, and self accommodation for her disability. Suzanne's initial venture into self-employment in 1997 was met with denials and very few resources of startup capital. But, Suzanne persisted forming a business with many employees and subcontractors to exceed $100,000 in gross revenues. After her startup funding denials, she worked with Griffin-Hammis Associates to develop over $20,000 in needed operating capital funded through SSA's Plan for Achieving Self Support (PASS).
